Common questions
How do I restore my HomeRunner Pro subscription?
If you subscribed on another iPhone, or reinstalled the app, sign in to the same Apple Account in iPhone Settings, then open HomeRunner, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Pro turns back on as soon as Apple confirms your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap HomeRunner Pro, then Cancel Subscription.
You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial ends and you won’t be charged. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. For a refund, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where are my recordings and videos saved?
Inside HomeRunner, on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, so they aren’t in any cloud account of ours. To keep a copy outside the app, open an edit and tap Save to Photos, or share it wherever you like.
How do I delete my data?
Everything HomeRunner stores is on your iPhone. Delete a walkthrough in the app to remove it and its edits, or delete the app to remove everything at once. We don’t hold a copy, so there’s nothing to request from us. Videos you saved to Photos or shared elsewhere stay where you put them.
Which iPhones does HomeRunner work on?
Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- Filming with the back camera and your face in a small circle at the same time needs an iPhone that can use both cameras at once. Most recent iPhones can; on others, you can record with one camera.
- “Use AI to help edit” needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on. Without it, HomeRunner still makes every edit, using its own picks.
How many free videos do I get?
The free plan includes 3 exported videos each calendar month, each with a small “Made with HomeRunner” tag at the end. HomeRunner Pro ($19.99 a month or $179.99 a year, with a 14-day free trial) removes the limit and the tag.
How do I send feedback on the beta?
If you’re testing through TestFlight, the quickest way is from the app itself: take a screenshot while HomeRunner is open and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open the TestFlight app, tap HomeRunner, then Send Beta Feedback. If the app crashes, TestFlight will offer to send us the crash report. You can always email us too.
My recording didn’t save, or an edit failed. What should I do?
First, make sure HomeRunner has permission to use the camera and microphone (iPhone Settings › HomeRunner) and that your iPhone has free storage. If it still happens, email us what you were doing and your iPhone model and iOS version, and we’ll help.
